Chapter 3: How I see the world
Experimenting is magic at its most fragile. It is my most humble opinion, that of the 14 known spells, only 8 of them are safe to perform. Experimentation of magic and nature must be outlawed!
I once came across a lone wizard. For many years he had lived in a small shack outside of town, next to the lake. It had survived every war, every battle since its inception. One day I chose to visit the small man, Rupert of the House Ridell. I found him outside his house, glittering from excess of magic, as plumes of enchanted smoke billowed out through his windows and front door. I ran over to him and grabbed his arm to check for life signs. Solid gold plated the skin around his wrists and fixated on his face was a permanent smile as he looked up through the trees. I could hear whispering coming from beyond the smoke, and as I turned to look, the sun dipped beneath the edge of the earth. Even in the dark I could see the smoke swirling and glowing and through the fog eyes started to appear. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a dragon-like figure leap through the window and I instantly incarcerated it. But as the ropes fell around it, it's molecular structure crumbled and it vanished into the fog. By this time, the Guards had arrived to help and the smoke instantly disppeared. Inside the cabin, we found many interesting things:
- Ghouls Blood
- Dragon Blood
- Blood of a King (Unknown)
- A Witches Hat
- Mouse Tails
- Unicorn Hair
- Raven Feathers
- A Plant (Resembling Aconite - but no confirmation)
The diagrams we found were destroyed by the guards before I could view them, however I did see three words
LIFE, DEATH and HOW.
